Title: Christmas, Soaps and Finding Calm
Comment:
Hello all,
Do you know it seems only yesterday that we were going through the garage to get the christmas tree and here we are again! December is here and we are only a few weeks away from christmas. I am doing my best to keep calm but with all of the things that I have to do before christmas is here it is proving fairly difficult.
It hasn't helped that I have had this nasty cold and for three days I had to take to my bed. This did give me a chance to put my feet up but it was unenjoyable because I felt so grotty.Three weeks later it is still lingering with no signs of going, but still you soldier on.
My Handmade Soaps are finally nearing completion, I only have two more to make and I will have around ten different varieties. I am very excited about getting them all together and the fact that I have managed to get them made 100% naturally makes it all the more sweet.
It's funny that when you have these ideas you never really have any idea how much work has to go into it. The hours researching and the 'trials' in the kitchen. My poor husband, I don't think I will ever forget the look on his face when as I momentarily turned my back on a soap and in his words it was 'exploding'!
After six months of plenty of trial and error I now have lots of soaps that I am absolutly thrilled with and I hope you will be to. They will be in the shop in the next week or so, so keep an eye out.
Finding Some Calm;I had decided that no matter how busy it gets I am going to find at least 10 minutes a day to meditate but can you believe it, it has been proving more difficult than I thought. There always seemed to be something else to do, after the school run, the housework, washing, ironing, shopping, meals, the website and then healings and reading throughout the day and into the evenings I would fall in to bed around 10 O'clock exhausted so any attempts at meditation would fail because I would fall asleep!I have made the executive decision to let the housework wait and to make some time to meditate during the day. I know that my sanity deserves it!!! The housework can always wait until later.
I hope that you all manage to get through the next few weeks with as little stress as possible but if you do find it all gets too much, take some time out to meditate and have a moment of calm. 10 minutes is all it will take and your mind and body will thankyou for it. You are definatly worth it! (Sorry I know I sound like an advert)
Happy Christmas to you all and I will see you all again in the New Year.
Many Blessings, Sandra.xx
